The ice-cream was too expensive at Roaring Springs for me to want to buy more than one cone. I laughed at the girls solution- they each got one side because they didn't want to "share germs". I'm sure there were no germs shared!

I didn't notice right away that that was my Katie! Oh I miss them! It's consoling to know that they are making such fun memories with your girls:)Thank you.
Just checking in--I already miss you!!! Love the gardening blog...just keeping it reaL...ha!ha! By the way, I LOVE my sweet gift. Every time I look at it, I sigh with happiness. I took your advice and didn't take it on the plane with me. Didn't want to be tempted to "crochet hook" someone to death! Enjoyed visiting the other night. It's always a treat to be with you. Note to me--keep in better touch with Sariah, it's good for my soul. Love ya...michelle
I'm so glad you were able to visit before leaving, Michelle- even though it's funny how seeing someone makes you miss them even more! Tell Eric that coming back for Christmas is "essential"!
"'Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.' We have heard that many times. What is also the price of freedom is the toleration of imperfections. If everything that is wrong with the world becomes a reason to turn more power over to some political savior, then freedom is going to erode away.... If you think government should 'do something' about anything that ticks you off, or anything you want and don't have, then you have made your choice between Utopia and freedom." --economist Thomas Sowell
I am a homeschooling mother of 6 children, happily married to 1 handy husband.
I like to garden, read, be outdoors, play the piano, sew quilts when I have chance, and enjoy beautiful places in Idaho.
I also enjoy homeschooling with my kids. My homeschooling method is an eclectic combination of the Charlotte Mason method, and the Well-Trained Mind approach. History, Geography, Art and Reading are our favorite subjects.
~ If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.

The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self control, the value of education, honest work, and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home. - David O. McKay, President of LDS Homeschooling in California

We went a while back too but we all shared funnel cakes in 106 degrees. It looks like fun!
