Pictures

The last week it's been packing and boxes, trips to D.I. and back to packing some more......

Getting ready to leave our private little paradise....

The deer can enjoy their grapes in peace now.....
I was having one of those sleepless nights, so now I'm up looking through pictures of how gorgeous this place is in the summer......you know, just torturing myself. Luckily, it's currently gray, muddy and bleak. Otherwise I don't think they could drag me away......

And while I'm in the nostalgia mood......

Here's a picture of the view from the last house we lived in at CJ Strike Dam. And the living room--
Most you haven't seen this house because I didn't blog then and we lived so far out in the middle-of-no-where that it was quite a trip to visit us. The nearest town was about 7 or 8 miles away with a population in the vicinity of 4 or 5 hundred. Joel's sister Ammanda, Grandpa Pearson, Emily, the Johnsons, and all my family braved the horrific mosquitos, gnats, and wind to see us that year. I think Ammanda and Chop thought it was pretty horrible (the gnats were insane when they came) but even with the out of control insect population, I actually loved living there. Loved it. So maybe there's hope that I'll fall in love with Hagerman too!

Just think how beautiful you can make your new place...you can grow things and make something out of nothing like no one else I know. It is just a new adventure. Besides, love grows best in little houses, right...

The world "pestilence" does come up when we reminisce about our visit there, but other than that... :) We really did enjoy visiting you guys though.

Those are beautiful places, but you'll make Hagerman beautiful too.

OH MY, its beautiful in Idaho! I only saw the deserty Idaho when we drove through to the Tetons. Each of your homes seems more beautiful than the last so this next home is going to be BEAUTIFUL'er! I'm making up my own new words! And hey, in the one picture from the CJ Strike Dam...is that the Montero you sent me a picture of from way back in the day!! I still have that picture. We were so goofy...the pictures we sent in letters. Which reminds me I have some I need to send back to you. You wrote that they were only copies. Did I ever tell you that I saved every letter you ever wrote me? I have a Sariah box and I read them once or twice a month and they always makes me smile. Like a pick-me-up when I'm feeling sad or down. I should scan some for you...so cute to read about you and Joel when you were just dating and the things you wrote about him, like "he's the man you're going to marry". Sooo makes me feel like its a Nicholas Sparks movie. (Ugh, I think I've written a novel!) Anyhoo.... your next home is going to be wonderful. I have faith!

Oh, and did you make the slipcovers for the chair and sofa in the last picture? I'm thinking of making covers for our sectional...

Hi Cynthia! I was going through my old letters and pictures yesterday when I was packing and saw so many of your boys! There is one of your twins with their helmets, your oldest boy when he a few months old, and then when he was two. So cute! Oh, and then I found one of you in your TPHS track uniform and one of me in my cheerleading getup. Where does the time go??? I can't believe how much written correspondence we used to have! :-) Back when we had more TIME on our hands.....sigh

Oh, I did make the slipcovers for the couch and chairs. (back when I had time for THAT!)

(i never quite finished the denim slipcover, so I finally just hemmed the arm cover parts and left it like that)

Oh, Sariah,

I would like to cry with you, but, that will never do. You will make Hagerman beautiful, too.
